After spending almost four years in Central Florida, I have now moved to San Diego! This place is hot and happening!!

Indeed, there are several unique and interesting aspects of San Diego that I wish to photograph and document. And indeed, I will get to them soon enough. But this piece of news deserves immediate mention. This past Sunday afternoon was a tad bit more interesting than usual in the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The record high temperatures caused a minor wild fire that drew quite a bit of attention from the local authorities. The fairly action packed fire fight involved  three helicopters, two bombers and over half a dozen fire trucks. Luckily no one was harmed and there was no property damage.

Four years back, when I first moved to Central Florida, a region that was considered relatively hurricane-proof, saw three major hurricanes pass right over head. Charley, Frances and Jeanne where only three of the major five that made landfall in Florida. 

I sincerely hope San Diego has better luck.
