TO DRAGON'S TOOTH -
JUNE 22, 2003
and a couple of my friends went on a hike yesterday. We hiked up to Dragon's
Tooth, a rock formation at an altitude of approximately 3000 ft., atop Cove
Mountain. This hike overlaps with a small part of the Appalachian
Trail. The 5.5 mile hike is pretty tough and demanding. People rate is
as one of the toughest day-hikes in southwest Virginia. Since this was my
third time to Dragon's Tooth, I knew exactly what to expect.
are real fun! Not only do you get the much needed adventure and exercise,
you also get to catch up on gossip and old times in general. Imagine, a
solid three plus hours, of "information exchange". Besides, photo-enthusiasts
like myself, get some very interesting shots. Check out my latest album of
pictures clicked on the hike.
