CFL PHOTOCLUB -
APRIL 06, 2004
I joined the Central
Florida Photography Club. This is my first ever attempt at affiliating
with a formal/semi-formal photography enthusiasts' group, and I am really
looking forward to it. The CFL Photoclub is the only one of its kind in this
area. But I certainly don't feel out of options here. They (or We, for that
matter) are very active.
attended my first meeting today which mainly involved a talk by John
Neubauer. He is an established photographer and had a lot of interesting
pointers (and photos) to share. But this club isn't all about sitting in a
room and talking ... so there was more. A photo contest and some photo
critiquing, both of which are regular items on the agenda, I am told! And of
course, the best part - field trips! And quite a lot of them too. Now this
is certainly the cherry on top!!

think there is a lot to gain from this affiliation. Photography, field
trips, friendships and the Orlando downtown. Its a pretty small downtown
really. But very neat and very manageable. At least the part I walked
through is. I am not sure is I will have too many other reasons to go
downtown, but I sure will enjoy going there for the club meetings.

clicked this photo a couple of weekends back in Clearwater. I am told
Clearwater is a big favourite among boating enthusiasts and that probably
explains this very crammed Clearwater Marina!
